Victory Farm Alpacas only utilizes studs that are double registered and have fibre or conformation qualities that will improve each successive generation of cria.  The success of this approach is proven by the quality of cria in my fields and in the show ring.

You can also draw upon these studs to add missing elements to your herd.  For example, you have a beautiful female with fine crimpy fleece but mediocre fibre coverage and density.  By breeding this female to Indy the resulting cria will most likely have extensive coverage of dense fine crimpy fleece.  The consistent coverage and density of Indy's cria is evident in the pictures below and by placing 2'nd out of 14 entries in the Sire's Progeny.  If you are looking for colour with fineness choose a breeding to Riley.  He settled 8 females in 2008 and the ribbon winning offspring will be arriving summer 2009.  While Aurelius is starting his breeding career I anticipate his offspring to be similar to his sire's with solid conformation, density, coverage, fineness & colour.

Included in the stud service fee is a 72 hour live birth guarantee as well as free agistment for the dam and cria for up to 60 days.  In order to protect my own herd and your alpacas as well, a negative PI status test of cria is required or if a maiden, a BVD free test.

Riley's dam is Tell Blizzard.  Blizzard passes on bright, fine fleece and good conformation. Her black ’06 son, RILEY, and black ’05 son, BROCK won first place in the PRODUCE OF DAM class. She passes bright, fine yet dense fleece to her cria and in 2006 at 8 years of age her histogram was: AFD  23.3 microns; SD-4.5; CV-19.3%; >30-7.0% .  Blizzard herself won numerous awards when she was in the show ring before becoming an excellent mother.

Sire: ARA Independence        White

Dam: SCA Carmen               Dark Brown

Aurelius is sired by the Alpaca Ontario Show 2005, Reserve Grand Champion Male, ARA Independence.  Indy was described by judge Mike Safley as having a beautiful head and full dense fleece typical of the ideal alpaca breed type.  As is characteristic of Indy’s offspring Aurelius has full, dense fibre coverage, the ideal head structure and perfect conformation.  His solid body structure and broad chest makes him an attractive breeding option in 2009.

His dam, Carmen, is a tall attractive dark brown colour.  Carmen has proven herself to be an excellent mother, who has produced ribbon winning offspring.

At two years of age Aurelius was equal in size to many mature breeding males.  He will be starting his breeding career in 2009.  Reserve a breeding by March 1'st 2009 and save 20% off his stud service fee for 2009 of $2,000.  A deposit of $500 will hold your reserved 2009 breeding and save you $400.

Fibre Herdsire

SCA Patronne’s Primo Muchacho

Stud Service Fee: $1,000

 D. O. B.  June 16, 2003,   Medium Fawn

 CLAA #: 28667

 ARI #: 1080087 (Silver Cloud Patronne’s Primo)

 Sire: AH Patronne

 Dam: SCA Carmella

Primo is a medium to dark fawn stocky good looking male.  He is the first male offspring of AH Patronne a light fawn Peruvian.  His dam SCA Carmella is a medium fawn and beige Vicuna like colour.

Primo has good bone structure, dense fleece with nice coverage down his legs and a good top knot.  Primo's good looks are enhanced by his nice head and soft handle.

His fleece is not good enough to expect Primo to produce show champions.  However for a farm primarily focused on fibre for processing he would be suitable for breeding.  You can draw upon his inexpensive genetics to breed up your fibre female.

His first offspring a pure white boy born in July, 2007 is pictured to the left.  .

Primo's Awards

As a juvenile Primo won a third place ribbon at the 2004 Alpaca Ontario Show. The juvenile fawn male class had 12 entries.
